Whilst ensuring positive results for ecology by offering a bespoke service in every instance, clients can be confident that the resulting report will fit the requirements of their development and will not be a one size fits all solution to an often-unique situation.
Our understanding of current legislation and good practice guidelines enables us to mitigate for ecology successfully, in a pragmatic and realistic manner, whilst keeping costs down and the benefits to ecology up.
Through the application of detailed survey work, concise reporting and the implementation of proportionate mitigation, we guide clients through their project/s in a manner that ensures progression and peace of mind.
Formed by the two company directors, one with a background in ecology the other in business operations and customer care, the GES company aim is simple;
‘Provide clear, concise, forward thinking ecological and arboricultural services to clients whilst building a strong dynamic team who deliver.’
This formula has nurtured company growth and we are pleased to have a wide-ranging portfolio of clients across a range of disciplines.
To maintain the high standard required by CIEEM to ensure qualification as a registered consultancy, Continued Professional Development is an essential element to the business focus and our team remain informed about the latest survey techniques, legislation and mitigation methods through attendance of in-house and external training courses throughout the year.
The proud winners of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management ‘Small-Scale Consultancy of the Year Award 2018’, this prestigious award goes a long way to demonstrating the hard work, expertise and commitment shown by the team. We also like to think it demonstrative of the quality service that all at GES provide.
The experience of our staff ensures an understanding of the challenges faced during the planning, design and implementation of ecological requirements within a scheme, and we pride ourselves in regularly finding bespoke resolutions to even the most complex scenarios.
We guide clients through the project and provide informed liaison with LPA, Natural England and other appointed contractors when required. Understanding the need for continuity, every project is appointed a Lead Ecologist, who has the ability to draw on the team’s individual specialties.
From town expansions to parkland regeneration; and domestic barn conversions to national infrastructure; should you have any questions regarding the ecological elements of your project, why not get in touch as we would be more than happy to help.
