About Us

Greenspace Ecological Solutions (GES) is a CIEEM Registered Practice based in the South of England.

As an award winning independent ecological consultancy, we offer a range services including; a wide range of habitat and protected species surveys, Arboricultural services, European Protected Species advice and licence applications (including EPSM, BLICL and DLL), Management Plans, BREEAM, EIA chapters, NET Gain Calculations, HRA, site monitoring and habitat creation.

Our commitment to providing cost effective solutions, assists clients and drives the company forward. Whilst ensuring positive results for ecology by offering a bespoke service in every instance, clients can be confident that the resulting report will fit the requirements of their development and will not be a one size fits all solution to an often-unique situation.

Our understanding of current legislation and good practice guidelines enables us to mitigate for ecology successfully, in a pragmatic and realistic manner, whilst keeping costs down and the benefits to ecology up.

Through the application of detailed survey work, concise reporting and the implementation of proportionate mitigation, we guide clients through their project/s in a manner that ensures progression and peace of mind.

Formed in 2011 by the two company directors, one with a background in ecology the other in business operations and customer care, the GES company aim is simple;

‘Provide clear, concise, forward thinking ecological and arboricultural services to clients whilst building a strong dynamic team who deliver.’

This formula has nurtured company growth and we are pleased to have a wide-ranging portfolio of clients across a range of disciplines.

We guide clients through the project and provide informed liaison with LPA, Natural England and other appointed contractors when required. Understanding the need for continuity, every project is appointed a Lead Ecologist, who has the ability to draw on the team’s individual specialties.

The experience of our team ensures an understanding of the challenges faced during the planning, design and implementation of ecological requirements within a scheme, and we pride ourselves in regularly finding bespoke resolutions to even the most complex scenarios.

We provide a wide range of services across a variety of sectors, with a portfolio that includes town expansions, housing, commercial developments, estate and park restoration, education, health care, green energy and utilities. Our workflow mainly comes from referrals or returning clients, and we believe working closely with clients, giving great customer care is key;

Should you have any questions regarding the ecological elements of your project, please get in touch as we would be more than happy to help.
